“God’s Work. Our Hands” Sunday will be held on September 7! This is the second annual day of service throughout the entire ELCA. We have a few projects planned throughout our parish! At 9:30 a.m. the Faaberg congregation will help Sunday school students pack school kits for Lutheran World Relief. The Faaberg Women of the ELCA are currently collecting items for school and personal care kits. If you would like to donate items, please see the list in the newsletter or on the Lutheran World Relief website. Following 10:30 a.m. worship, there will be a lunch served at Gary Lutheran Church. Then we will carpool to the Ronald McDonald House in Fargo to do service projects there. If you would like to attend, please contact Jenny H. or Katie D. or sign up at the Gary church. We would also appreciate volunteers to drive. There will also be projects at the church for those who prefer to stay there. Please participate in this day of service! This is a great way to kick-off the Sunday school year!
We would love for your son or daughter to participate in Vacation Bible School from June 2-6 at Faaberg from 6:30-8:30 p.m. There will be a free light supper served each evening at 6 p.m. The theme this year is “Gangway to Galilee,” and there will be lots of fun games, music, and Bible Study. All kids through the sixth grade are encouraged to attend! There will be a Mommy & Me Bible School for children ages birth-4 with a parent or special adult. We are trying to set up a car pool from Gary to Faaberg, so please let us know if you are willing to drive or if your child will need a ride. To register, please send the following information to the parish office:

There will also be a planning meeting at Faaberg on May 18 at 9:30 a.m. for anyone interested in helping to plan VBS. We are grateful for any and all volunteers! High Schoolers: this is a great way to get in volunteer hours for National Honor Society, etc!
